INSIGHT
What Animals do you hate?
Do people count? If not, spiders.
Which Hartnell era monster do you most aspire to?
The Celestial Toymaker. Love that hat.
Coffee or chocolate?
Coffee. Proper coffee, not that decaf nonsense.
Ideal job?
I like what I’m doing now, but if I could choose any other... script editor for the new series.
Have you invaded Poland?
Too far, too cold.
Is fast food evil?
Not in small doses.
Have you ever been accused of a crime of fashion?
I wear my anorak with pride.
Have you seen anything supernatural and / or been kidnapped by aliens?
Not while I've been sober.
What is your cure for writers block?
Go round it and write something else.
What's the worst fan fiction you have ever written?
Most of the Cool Kids of Time series makes me cringe.
Of all that's archived on Timelord and RF, what's the thing you're proudest of contributing?
SF – The Reign of Floods. RF – Contributing to We Have All the Time in the World.
What happened in the year you were fourteen?
Peter Davison was the Doctor, and I’m fairly certain Wolves were relegated. Again.
If you could be any age again, what would it be?
18.
If you could visit any moment in history what would it be?
Saint Etienne's first live gig.
What crossover story should never be made... ever?
Well, if used right, the presence of the Doctor should make any story work, but if pressed, I’d have to say Buffy.
If you ruled the world, who would be first against the wall?
Extremists of any persuasion. And people who are cruel to animals.
What would your entry in the Encyclopaedia Galactica say about you?
Sad but true.
Borg or Cybermen?
Cybermen, easily. The Borg were ruined when they tried to make them into characters.
If you were a Doctor Who Title which one would you be?
Damaged Goods.
Should any Twin Peaks fans who survived the purge be arrested?
I'd have to be arrested with them, so, no. How’s Annie?
Which missing Who story would you most like to be refound?
The Web of Fear.
Who would play you in a cheap BBC drama about your life?
Mr Spoon of Button Moon.
Computer games?
On PC, Championship Manager and Jagged Alliance 2. Before that I was hopelessly addicted to my old ZX Spectrum. Mmmm, Maziacs...
What would you like on your epitaph?
A line from The Wild Bunch:
"It ain’t like it used to be, but it’ll do."
PG or 18?
Neither. Given how 'mature' (ha ha) kids become these days, 18 is nonsensical, and do kids ever listen to their parents’ guidance?
Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori?
I'm definitely in favour of dulce and decorum, but human nature requires that we kick the crap out of each other, usually for no good reason. But that’s human nature for you.
Have you ever been, or are you now, a member of a Communist organisation?
Communism is a waste of time. Soviet Russia and Fidel Castro proved it.
What is the best word?
Sleep.
When did you first get involved with this online group?
Yahoo clubs. A friend recommended it, and lived to regret it!
Half-empty or half-full?
Half-empty. I’m a cheerful soul, aren't I?

LISTS
Top 3 favourite films
Alien,
Apocalypse Now,
The Wild Bunch
Least favourite film
Lots, but if I had to pick one right now... Last of the Mohicans, with Daniel Day Lewis. American Brit-bashing at its very worst.
What's the best other TV show?
The Sweeney. I like my heroes flawed and human. Or at least half-human.
Favourite piece of music
Again, lots, depending on my mood. But I’d probably say my favourite single is 'Gangsters' by the Specials.
What's the best sport?
Cricket. Football has lost a lot of its flavour recently.
Favourite kiddies programmes when you were young
Apart from Dr Who? I used to cut short a lot of summer afternoons for things like Scooby Doo, Valley of the Dinosaurs, Screen Test, and Clapperboard. Junk like Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and Time Tunnel used to float my boat at the time too.
