What Animals do you hate?
Definately dogs. They're horrible and they all hate me. Wasps are insects I know but there's no category for insects I hate! If I had enough fly spray and eternal life I'd devote it to exterminating all wasps forever.
Which Hartnell era monster do you most aspire to?
The mire beast. I know how he feels.
Coffee or chocolate?
Choccie! Without doubt and without rival the greatest foodstuff on earth!
Ideal job?
Probably a film concept artist or perhaps visual effects. I quite like my job as it is for now but I'd like to think Im going to reach one of those eventually.
Have you invaded Poland?
Give me a chance, I haven't taken Czechoslovakia yet!
Is fast food evil?
Depends on the type but on the whole, yes its evil! I think I'm addicted to Greggs bakers however so they would have to be spared!
Have you ever been accused of a crime of fashion?
I doubt I've ever even achieved fashion let alone a crime of it!
Have you seen anything supernatural and / or been kidnapped by aliens?
I wouldn't be given over to believing such things as I'm a natural sceptic but I have seen two ghosts in my time and so to deny their existence would be pointless!
What is your cure for writers block?
Never to write anything.
What's the worst fan fiction you have ever written?
Oh no sooo many... Some even got made into audio plays but at least most of the worst will never be heard. I'm simply not writer material but somehow things get out! Looking back I wrote an audio called Sealed Fate which is shockingly embarrassing now. Daleks decide to destroy the universe using leftover plotlines from Logopolis for reasons so contrived it brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.
Of all that's archived on Timelord and RF, what's the thing you're proudest of contributing?
Erm... None of it? Heh I am a terrible RF part one spammer. I haven't got cohesive enough ideas to form entire stories. I think the only one I was pleased with to any degree was the 4th Doc and Leela RF Fracture.
What happened in the year you were fourteen?
I wrote Sealed Fate... ARGH! I can think of nothing eventful in 1993-4.
If you could be any age again, what would it be?
Eighteen. Many wrong decisions were made and I'd like to be able to make them again with that ever so wonderful hindsight. I could be a lot closer now to where I want to be.
If you could visit any moment in history what would it be?
Erk... so many. I've always held the view I was born in the wrong century. I should have been an 1880s liberal and then I'd have an excuse to have the views I have now and be seen as a political extremist, and I'd have an opportunity to wear a top hat and a cape in public and not be thought of as a raving lunatic. But time is littered with moments.
I'd like to see the lithe little Turbinia tresspass into the 1897 Spithead naval review. See Elizabeth I give her speech to the nervous troops at Tilbury. Seen Constantine's coronation as Emperor of the Roman Empire in York. Listen to a lecture by Newton, witness the Rainhill trials, laugh at King Canute's sycophants on the seashore, watch Cromwell dissolve parliament, be in London for the VE day celebrations and talk with Bede at Jarrow. One thing is certain, if I had a time machine I doubt I'd return here much.
What crossover story should never be made... ever?
Doctor Who and Absolutely Fabulous.
Perhaps the most grossly unfunny and overrated comedy. I think I'd rather eat a packet of drawing pins.
If you ruled the world, who would be first against the wall?
I am someone who should NEVER be allowed to come to power anywhere. If I had the whole world as my plaything it’d become a mirror of my own twisted consciousness. I don't know if I’d start picking out dissidents for execution... too often - but I would begin a vigorous programme of sterilising people who fail to score a high enough IQ or commit any crime. I'd restructure society into a technocratic oligarchy and rid the world of guns. Within a couple of generations I will have reduced the population by up to 60% and problems with space and the labour market will cease to exist.
What would your entry in the Encyclopaedia Galactica say about you?
The man who claimed he revolutionised art, music and literature, and tended to lie a lot.
Borg or Cybermen?
Given that the Cybermen are much older and actually have a scare factor unlike their washed out offspring on Trek its no contest really. Both lost a lot of impact when they were made too human but the Cybermen were able to reinvent their image whilst within a decade the Borg were just another race with weaknesses, wanting to be more human etc like everything else on Trek, as if homo-sapiens was the perfection of existence.
If you were a Doctor Who Title which one would you be?
State of Decay!
Should any Twin Peaks fans who survived the purge be arrested?
Get them out of my sight and if they quote a single line from that series have them shot - twice to make sure!
Which missing Who story would you most like to be refound?
Not entirely sure. Perhaps Power of the Daleks.
Who would play you in a cheap BBC drama about your life?
They'd get me in a 10 minute Video Nation slot. Probably played by someone unlikely and far too old like Tim Brooke-Taylor.
Computer games?
I have an affinity for strategy games. I am pretty much invincible at Age of Empires II. I’m not sure why this is, it just seemed to happen. I can take on six human players vs me and still crush them. Am now playing Rise of Nations although I'm nowhere near as good at it.
What would you like on your epitaph?
Nothing. Being a sad fan I just want an omega symbol!
PG or 18?
PG. In many cases I see no reason for any story to be an 18. There are exceptions but sensationalism and exploitation usually create the 18 rating.
Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori?
In theory, yes. But it has to be for right and in a situation where not doing would lead to much worse. Anyone who joins the military could be sentencing themselves to death. I don't give a damn if they have wives or children, it’s a career in which death is an occupational hazard and they signed the dotted line. In any case this is a dangerous and out of date sentiment and I'm only too aware of the fine line between patriotism and nationalism.
Have you ever been, or are you now, a member of a Communist organisation?
Erm... I buy the Socialist Worker quite often!
What is the best word?
I always loved "Melancholy". It's such a nice way of being sad.
When did you first get involved with this online group?
Woah... now that’s going way, way back and it’s a long tale! I don’t remember when but I assume it was 97/98ish when Holly Alien Princess (as she was then known) told me a friend of hers had founded a Doctor Who club in the brand new Yahoo Clubs. I said I'd like to join and did so the next day.
It was a quiet place and for a while was little more than an extension of chatter from the Yahoo Sci-Fi and Fantasy chatroom. But the Founder, MKGobaco or somesuch stopped updating things and went silent and we had a club with a driver asleep at the wheel. Eventually I emailed him and asked if he could either change pictures and quotes on the front page, or make me a founder so I could do it.
Next day I found myself a founder and set about perverting it all in my own image. It was hellish keeping up as members gathered by a dozen a week and there was this newer member called Kilduskland who kept pestering me and making suggestions and eventually I gave him foundership status as well.
Eventually there were four founders and the clubs ranks had swelled to thousands. The RFs and SFs were born and the Kilduskland Matrix became the Timelord site we all know and love. Then all the nonsense happened with clubs merging with groups and internal politics got silly and I drifted off. I have only recently returned with Police Box in the hope it’s like the old days. I haven't asked for any of my old foundership powers back because I hated exercising them when I had them. I am a god become mortal, woe is me!

Favourite kiddies programmes when you were young
LOL Dr Who, The Tripods. Ahem... Round the Bend, Corners, Trumpton and its ilk, Look and Read, Press Gang, Duckula, Dogtanian, Around the World in 80 days, Chronicles of Narnia, Inspector Gadget, Roobarb. I think I was into Byker Grove for a while. I hated things like He-man, Transformers, A-Team, She-Ra etc.
