Following a strange signal, the Doctor and Charley find themselves in Italy 1982, the night that nation beat West Germany in the World Cup Final.

But away from the street parties, an alien invasion is being plotted in the nearby woods. One that will take a degree of subtly to foil.

Can the Doctor overcome his hero worship long enough to make a difference? Will the Threllips manage to avoid catching World Cup Fever? And will Time Lady Charleyostiantayshuis really make her poor assistant scrub the TARDIS floors with his toothbrush?

As you might be able to guess from the summary, this is more of a fun entry into the adventures of the 8th Doctor and Charley. Given away free with the 40th anniversary edition of DWM, this completes their run of give-away shorts featuring the four Big Finish Doctors.

Scott Gray has written a witty script for this fun run-around adventure. The regulars are obviously enjoying themselves, unfettered from the more serious business of the new season, while guests Conrad Westmass and Stephen Perring make the most of their roles too.

All in all a jolly romp for those concerned. Non-serious fluff, and as I listened to it after the heavy Season 29, great light relief it is too.
